The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently holding meetings with the party’s governorship candidates across the 36 states of the federation.
The meeting was attended by all the governorship candidates in the PDP except for the governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, who is on vacation abroad.
However, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State also sent his apology, announcing that he will participate as the meeting continues.
The closed-door meeting is being tagged as a networking session between national party leaders and party candidates ahead of the 2023 elections.
The meeting is coming when the President of the country, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, was called to leave Nyesom Wike camp, as part of the situation to resolve the issue for the election of the Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as the party’s presidential candidate.
