Napoli’s full back Giovanni Di Lorenzo says the players must help Victor Osimhen to enjoy his football on the pitch.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s Europa League round of 32 second leg clash with Barcelona, the Italian international hailed the Nigerian forward as one of the best in Europe, but admits he also needs help on the pitch.
Last week in Barcelona, Osimhen isolated up front and had lesser touches on the ball than the goalkeepers.
“He doesn’t have to be the one to cross, we will have to accompany him more as a team, even if in the first leg we suffered their dribble but we will have to be more proactive to win and pass. We will have to give him more playable balls.” Di Lorenzo told the press conference.
With the first leg against Barcelona having ended 1-1, everything is on the line in Campania between the Diego Maradona’s former sides.
