Sadio Mane scored twice to help ruthless champions Bayern Munich beat VFL Bochum 7-0 in their 2022/23 Bundesliga Round 3 match at Vonovia Ruhr Stadium on Sunday.
The impressive Mane now has three Bundesliga goals to his name and four in all competitions for his new club after scoring his first in Bayern’s German Super Cup win over RB Leipzig and the New Bundesliga season opener against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane scored the game’s first goal in the fourth minute from an assist from Kingsley Coman and 21 minutes later Matthijs De Ligt made it 2-0.

Coman got on the scoresheet in the 32nd minute as Bayern continued to dominate the game.
Mane had a goal ruled out in the 40th minute for offside. The referee consulted VAR and the goal was disallowed, then he scored his first of the game two minutes later. The first half ended 4-0.
Mane completed his brace in the 59th minute with a well-taken penalty.
In the 66th minute, Thomas Muller was replaced by Serge Gnabry and Benjamin Pavard made way for Noussair Mazraoui.
Costa Rican defender Cristian Gamboa scored an own goal to take the tally to six three minutes later and substitute Serge Gnabry made it 7-0 in the 75th minute.
In the other Bundesliga matchday three game also played on Sunday, European Cup champions Eintracht Frankfurt played out a 1-1 draw with Cologne at Deutsche Bank Park.
The first half ended scoreless as both teams were unable to inflate the net.
However, Daichi Kamada put Eintracht Frankfurt ahead in the 71st minute and Cologne equalized through Jan Thielman in the 82nd minute.
Bayern Munich currently top the Bundesliga table with nine points from three games. Borussia Dortmund, Union Berlin and Mainz, with seven points each, occupy second, third and fourth positions respectively after matchday three matches.
