Alex Iwobi provided the assist for the only goal as Everton beat Fleetwood Town 1-0 in the Carabao Cup second round on Tuesday.
Iwobi set up team-mate Demarai Gray whose goal secured Everton’s first win of the season.
Everton deservedly broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, when McNeil grabbed a loose pass into the Fleetwood defense before finding Iwobi at the edge of the penalty area.
Iwobi then picked out a slide rule pass for Gray, who made no mistake with a curling finish to the far corner of the net.
