Following the killing of a soldier and two gunmen in Ohafia on Wednesday, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed his shock over the incident.
He described it as reckless display of disregard for human lives.
Ikpeazu who said he has been fully briefed on the incident said he was “deeply saddened by reports of loss of lives in the incident.”
He assured that measures have been put in place to ensure that the situation will be arrested immediately.
While appealing to the youths of the area and all law abiding citizens of Ohafia LGA to remain calm, the governor disclosed that the state government will implement measures to bring the situation to a complete stop.
