Blues fans have taken to social media to express their frustration over a potential transfer
Chelsea fans have taken to social media to express their frustration and many believe Callum Hudson-Odoi is a better player than Gordon.
One fan tweeted: ‘#CFC signing Anthony Gordon from Everton for £60m while Callum Hudson-Odoi fidgets on the bench is weird from Chelsea. A ridiculous amount of money spent and a waste of talent wanting to leave.
Another wrote: “Chelsea could save their £60m and give Gordon game time to Hudson-Odoi. Odoi is a much better player.
“In the same way they could have saved £100m and given Lukaku’s minutes to Tammy.”
“Don’t sign Gordon!” He only has 4 league goals last season, Odoi has 4 league goals in 5 years, keep it even if he is not performing!’ said a third Chelsea fan.

A fourth fan reflected similar views, writing: “Chelsea are mad. Hudson-Odoi & Barkley are literally better than Gordon and play no minutes why do they need Gordon.’
A move to Chelsea will give Gordon the chance to play Champions League football and boost his senior hopes in England, having taken the Three Lions from Under-18 to Under-21 level.
If the signing goes ahead before next Thursday’s deadline, he would become Chelsea’s sixth summer signing after Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casdei and Gabriel Slonina.
Thomas Tuchel’s side suffered a 3-0 loss to Leeds at the weekend but they will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they face Leicester on Saturday.
