Facts emerge, lawyer insists Abiodun behind blogger’s arrest

Festus Ogun, the former lawyer to the detained Ogun blogger, Hammed Bashiru, popular as Labash, who was arrested over a report on the alleged criminal past of the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, has released the facts that the governor is behind the blogger’s arrest.

The PUNCH reported that the aide to the governor had denied the involvement of Abiodun in the arrest and detention of the blogger.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kunle Somorin, on Monday, claimed that the arrest and detention of the blogger had nothing to do with his boss.

The PUNCH had also reported, Sunday, that the blogger had spent 100 days in detention at Ibara Prison since his arrest.

In a chat with The PUNCH, Ogun provided the report which showed that the State Security Services stated that the blogger was arrested upon request by the governor.

Below is the document:

“Unfortunately, as much as I no longer hold brief for Mr Olamilekan Ahmed, I consider it to put on record that Prince Dapo Abiodun is behind the ordeal. This document above shows clearly that the SSS acted in His Excellency’s instructions,” Ogun told The PUNCH.

“The governor’s aide either lied or is completely misinformed. Tyranny will expire, in the fullness of time,” he added on Twitter.
