Things are changing on a daily basis, and it will not be the same as it was when you had to post a few images a day on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or Twitter. However, if you want to build your brand, you should raise awareness and engage with your audience. It takes time to work, but you must distinguish yourself from the excess/irrelevant competition, the social media crowd, and even begin competing with influencers. To do so, you must abandon traditional social media platforms and look for new ways to reach and engage with more people.
“Social media marketing (SMM) is the marketing of a company’s products and services through social media websites and social networks.” However, in order to make it more clear and understandable, I define Social Media Marketing as the act or process of creating content on social media platforms in order to target your audience, build your brand, engage with them, generate more sales, or drive traffic to your website. It’s an excellent place to begin your branding, raise brand awareness, and influence people all over the world. This entails posting great content to your social media profile, engaging with an audience, analyzing your results, and running social media ads.
There are hundreds of Social Media Platforms available today, but I will not discuss them all here. If I begin, you should all exit this page right now. So, let us return to our main subject.
I’ll start by discussing some major social media platforms that every marketer uses, and then I’ll move on to others.
However, keep in mind that each social media site you begin targeting or leveraging for your brand will require new techniques. The same strategies will not work on every platform because each platform has its own set of standards, algorithms, targets, structures, and even audiences.

1) Content Marketing/ Content Creating:
It is a marketing strategy that helps to attract, engage, and retain an audience by creating and sharing relevant information with the audience.
For Ex: Content Marketing includes e-books, articles, webinars that answer specific questions users have and provide them with something they can not get somewhere else.
It’s a way to turn your product, no matter how common, into something that is not like others.
2) Advertisement/ Sponsorship:
Advertising sponsorship is the most powerful relationship format between an advertiser and a medium or event. Sponsorship is a more involved advertising relationship between an advertiser and a medium than traditional advertising, in which the advertiser or its agency purchases rotating spots in a medium.
3) Influencer Marketing:
Influencer Marketing is the strategic marketing where brands leverage well-known figures who influence their target market to promote their brands.
That does not mean you need to promote Influencer for promoting your new product every time.
4) Social Media Management:
Social media management is the process of analyzing the social media audience and developing a tailored strategy for them, creating and distributing content for social media profiles, monitoring online conversations, collaborating with influencers, providing community service, and monitoring, measuring, and reporting on social media performance and ROI.

Paid Media is the marketing efforts that involve a paid placement. It includes PPC, Advertisement, Branding.
Or it is defined as a purchase of ad inventory or media channel or publisher site to broadcast your brand message or Aware them.
You know spending 6 hours a week on social media to increase your business recognition, traffic, sales, with little to no cost.
That’s right. About 90% of marketers claim they have got big exposure to their brand from Social Media.
It is cost-effective and one of the major players in the market. According to Social Media Examiner, about 96% of marketers are currently participating in social media marketing, but 85% of participants aren’t sure which tools are the best to use.

It’s an excellent way to keep tabs on your competitors, whether they’re using different tactics or different occasions, the product they’re promoting, the campaign they’re launching, or their engagement rate with their followers.

3) Listening and Engagement
Listening and engaging with your followers or audience is one of the pillars in SMM(Social Media Marketing).
Your feedback might not always be positive, but in marketing, you should be in your tone of response always to make your feedback come back and see your improvements.
Sometimes, I also give feedback but when they improve themselves, I make them
appreciable feedback. Like this, you will also get some feedback.
Listening and engaging are all part of digital transformation, especially if you are going to improve the overall customer experience.
It’s also worth mentioning that social listening isn’t just about customer experience. It can allow you to:
- pick up on new trends
- identify new streams of income
- gain industry insights
- find influencers in your niche
Your Social Media Marketing(SMM) success depends on your tracking and collecting data. Without this information you can’t:
- understand user behavior
- refine your strategy
- find which platform works best for your brand

- ensure you focus your content on a specific niche or demographic
- build quality connections with influencers, brands, and customers you can build relationships with
- add value with your content and comments
Finally, you should ensure you are accessible on social media so your customers know they can reach out to you. Do not wait for them to give you feedback. Invite them.
