Rivers Angels defender Blessing Demehin has praised the Super Falconets’ efforts despite their elimination from the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Recall that the team lost 2-0 against the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
Reacting to the team’s failure to qualify for the semi-finals, Demehin said the ladies should be proud of their achievement.
“It’s not how we wanted to end the competition but we have to accept it, learn from it and grow. The experience and exposure was also necessary. Super proud of the team. Thank you for all your good wishes and your support,” she tweeted.
Demehin played in all four games for the Super Falconets at the 2022 U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falconets have participated in all editions of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
